Cedar Valley Youth Soccer Association

The CV Competitive program provides an environment in which the level of competition, commitment, and player ability falls between CV Select and CV Recreational soccer. Teams are formed through tryouts in the early summer, with players drawn from one or a few communities. Age groups range from U11 through U19, and multi-year age group teams are common. Each team typically is administered through one community, which provides a home field. Teams compete out-of-area in the middle and lower divisions of the Iowa Premier Soccer League, and they may enter one or two tournaments each season.

• Coaching: Teams are trained by volunteer coaches.
• Costs: TBA
• Practice: varies, usually 2 times a week at a field in the community
• Players: Various ability, moderate commitment, player attendance expected with allowances made at team option
  
• League Play: Statewide league play through IPSL in a middle level division, six to eight games per season
  
• Tournaments: Team option (often one or two per season encouraged)
